Craig Low is a Marketing Operations and Management Consultant with over twenty two years experience.  As owner of Great Bay Communications, a Long Island, New York based marketing and consulting firm, Craig has advised local governments, businesses and not-for-profits in various contexts including public relations, sales, budgeting, asset management and business development.

Upon receiving his Master’s in Public Administration, Craig served in the County Manager’s office in Dare County, North Carolina, and subsequently represented Assemblyman Doran in the New York State (NYS) Assembly. He was appointed the first-ever Director of the Bloomfield (NY) Community Economic Development Council. Craig then transitioned to the corporate sector, specifically the competitive mountain resorts and ski industry.

As Director of Marketing & Communications for three prominent resort companies Craig was part of senior leadership directing the growth of market share, resort development and increasing corporate earnings.  As the executive responsible for resort sales and marketing, Craig was an early adopter of web-based marketing and communications including websites, message boards, digital marketing, social media and customer generated content sharing.  As a collateral responsibility in these roles, Craig was the media point-of-contact and corporate spokesman interfacing with elected officials, resort industry trade groups and the Economic Development Offices of New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

In addition to his consulting services on Long Island, Craig is the publisher of the Fire Island News, a bi-weekly print newspaper covering the news and events of the nine Fire Island National Seashore communities as well as the south shore of Long Island and Great South Bay region.

When not working, Craig is often seen with a camera or paddle in hand. As an avid waterman with either a kayak, SUP board or surfboard, he can be found in the rivers, bays and beaches of Long Island. He combines his love for the outdoors with nature photography and videography creating his own short documentaries.
