Ocean Beach, Fire Island, NY. The Ocean Beach Chamber of Commerce has organized a three day community festival featuring seafood dining specials starting at $19.95 and live music at the restaurants in the coastal village. Live music will be at each participating restaurant between the hours of Noon to 10 pm.
The Ocean Beach Chamber of Commerce was formed this past spring and according to Chamber Co-President, Chris Mercogliano, "For several years there has been discussion among the Ocean Beach business community to form a Chamber of Commerce to help represent the needs of the business community to the Village of Ocean Beach and the Islip Township. We are very excited about the level of participation from the local businesses."
A significant part of the newly created Chamber's role is to increase the visitation of beach goers and vacationers to the village. "Our Seafood and Music Festival is our first collaborative effort of our membership to create an event to bring new and returning visitors to the village," says Chamber Marketing Committee Chairman Sean Klentzin.
